Partner schools
Nobel Week is a major celebration of science that aims to popularize knowledge about the achievements of Nobel Prize laureates. The University of Warsaw’s Center for Dialogue and Cooperation invites schools from all over Poland to participate. Indeed, the development of science would not be possible without the participation of the teaching community. Every year our Center prepares special educational materials that you can use to teach lessons about the Nobel Prize. Nobel lessons may be accompanied by other educational events that will focus on issues related to Nobel Week. Each school that participates in this project is given the status of a Nobel Prize Week at UW Partner School.
How to become a Partner School?
Both elementary schools and secondary and post-secondary schools are encouraged to participate. Due to the sophistication of the material, we suggest that for elementary schools, the lessons are conducted in the upper grades (VI-VIII).
To apply, please send an email to: tydzien.noblowski@cwid.uw.edu.pl with the following information:
– name and address of the school,
– first and last names of participating teachers,
– the name of the headmaster/director of the school,
– Nobel fields on which you would like to conduct lessons
(physiology or medicine, physics, chemistry, literature, Nobel Peace Prize, economics).
Educational materials can be found on our website under the educational materials tab.

We will publish materials for the next edition of Nobel Week in October. They will be published each day of Nobel Week until 9:00 am.
What does Partner School status give you?
Conducting Nobel lessons and/or organizing other educational events allows you to use the name “Nobel Prize Week at UW Partner School.” Promotional materials are provided to Partner Schools for use both on the website, social media and in the school building space. Each Partner School is also included in our list, which can be found below. The teachers conducting the lessons and the principals/directors of the Partner Schools receive a named thank-you for their participation after the event.
